چکیده

An analysis of errors in measurement yields new insight into classically forbidden quantum processes. In addition to " physical " values, a realistic measurement can yield " unphysical " values; we show that in sequences of measurements , the " unphysical " values can form a consistent pattern. An experiment to isolate a particle in a classically forbidden region obtains a negative value for its kinetic energy. It is the weak value of kinetic energy between past and future state vectors. 1. Introduction. When the word " quantum " first entered the language of physics, it meant a restriction on possible values of energy; and it is still axiomatic that the only observable values of a physical quantity are the eigenvalues of a corresponding quantized operator. When we obtain values that are not eigenvalues, we interpret them as errors. Still, measurements are uncertain in practice, and can even yield classically forbidden, " unphysical " values. We have uncovered remarkable regularities in the way that " unphysical " values can appear in sequences of measurements, suggesting that these values may not be unphysical at all. In quantum theory, it seems, not only are physical quantities not restricted: they can take

Enteric redmouth disease: Past, present and future: A review

Enteric red mouth disease (also known as Yersiniosis) is one of the most significant bacterial infections in coldwater fish farms that cause significant mortalities and economical losses in the salmonids fish farms, especially in rainbow trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss). ERM is caused by the gram negative pathogen bacteria Yersinia ruckeri that has five O-serotypes (O1, O2, O5, O6 and O7), five oute...

Development of State-and-Transition Models (STM): Integrating Ecosystem Function, Structure and Energy to STM

The main objective of an ecosystem sustainable management is to preserve itscapacity to respond and adapt to current disturbances and/or future changes, and maintain theprovision of environmental goods and services. Two very important properties linked to thisobjective are the ecosystem resilience and resistance to disturbance factors. The objective ofthis paper is to recommend conceptual modif...

Kinetic Study of Reaction between Allyl Compounds of Mg and Ethylene: Computational Investigation

The reactions of propenyl magnesium halides with ethylene were studied using ab initio calculations. The structure of the transition state and the ground state were evaluated and obtained the structural properties, theoretical thermodynamic and kinetic data i.e. rate constants of the reactions. The methods used for calculations are RHF, B3LYP and MP2 with 6-31G* b...

Stepped Spillway Performance: Study of the Pressure and Turbulent Kinetic Energy versus Discharge and Slope

In the present study, flow over flat and pooled stepped spillways was simulated three dimensionally. The VOF method and k- ε (RNG) turbulent model was used to simulate the flow over the stepped spillway. The results indicated that the numerical model was acceptably capable of simulating the flow over the pooled and flat stepped spillways for different discharges. Following that, the effect of d...
